Abstrakt
Therapy of patients with COPD includes medical therapy as well as exercise training as essential components. Comparable to medical therapy, exercise training should also be a sustained part of the treatment approach. In Germany legal regulations define a right of patients for such training therapies. However, the necessary infrastructure to offer exercise therapy to these patients is not nationwide available. In recent years, some progress has been made in the scientific evaluation as well as the practical implementation of such training programs.
