Abstrakt

The LDCT-lung cancer-screening sets specific requirements for structural and process quality of thoracic surgery. New techniques for preoperative evaluation and intraoperative localization accomplish the detection of suspicious lung nodules. The refinement of thoracoscopic surgical techniques for uniportal and robotic-assisted sublobar lung resections is thereby stimulated. The balance between benefist and harms of lung cancer-screening is favorably influenced in particular by ERAS-protocols.
