Abstrakt

There is sufficient evidence of a connection between indoor moisture and mold exposure and the manifestation on the hand and exacerbation of bronchial asthma on the other. Mold spores with a diameter < 10 µm can reach the bronchioles directly. Diagnostic methods are only available to a limited extent. Taking all facts and findings into consideration sensible and successful clinical diagnostics, prevention and therapy of children and adolescents with asthma and mould allergies are possible.
