Abstrakt

European legislation to reduce the emission of air pollutants offers the opportunity to have a positive impact on health, quality of life and limiting climate change in a variety of ways, and to support the transformation to a sustainable way of life and economy. Every Euro invested here pays for itself several times over. Medical doctors can contribute to show the links between health and transport, air quality, and agriculture, and demonstrate that ambitious environmental and climate protection is above all an investment in population health.
