Abstrakt

Telemedicine and digitalization are hot topics, and rightfully so, as digital treatment of sleep disorders through telemedicine offers innovative approaches to effectively support individuals with sleep problems. It allows patients to monitor their sleep patterns and symptoms from home by using specialized sensors and apps to record sleep data. This information can then be sent to sleep experts, who can make a preliminary diagnosis based on the recordings without the patient needing to be physically present. Therapy checks can also take place remotely. Teleconsultations with sleep specialists via video calls help discuss symptoms, review progress, and adjust treatment plans, offering patients access to expert care from home. Digital sleep therapy programs using behavioral therapy and relaxation techniques are also part of telemedicine. These programs can be personalized and guide patients step by step, strengthening patient empowerment and improving therapy adherence, all while keeping the patient in control of their data.
