Abstrakt

In 2007 and 2019, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classified shift work with circadian disruption and night shift work as probably carcinogenic to humans (Group 2A). Given these plausible causal links, specific attention should be paid to key roles of sleep and internal clocks, which can be disturbed by both work and leisure activities.
