Abstrakt

COPD is a disease with a high burden for the patient, which has continuously increased in prevalence, incidence as well as mortality in women in recent years. Simultaneously, there is more and more evidence for gender-specific differences in COPD – in relation to the risk to develop COPD and the course of the disease itself. Here, we summarize the different aspects that could serve as a starting point for prevention of COPD specifically in women.
