Abstrakt

Influenza is a contagious respiratory illness. It is caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and lungs. It can cause mild-to-severe illness, and at times can lead to death. The flu can be treated e.g., by neuraminidase inhibitors or prophylactic prevented by getting a flu vaccine at the end of each year. Further preventive measures are: staying away from people who are sick, covering coughs and sneezes and frequent handwashing which helps to reduce the spread of the virus.
