Abstrakt

The preclinical emergency-care of children is usually not provided by pediatricians. The international guidelines take this into account through a clear and simple structure and a focus on the feasibility of the recommended measures. A safe treatment can be guaranteed by familiarizing with these guidelines and under preparation for the expected requirements. Simple and clear rules for typical and threatening pediatric diseases should be known. To assess the long-term progression of the illness, pediatric expertise must be consulted. Aid to secure the airway and for administration and dose finding of drugs must be present. Dealing with these should be learned, for example in simulated training scenarios.
