Abstract
In der Sterbephase werden Symptome, nicht Diagnosen behandelt. Übliche Standardmedikamente können deshalb oft abgesetzt werden. Besondere Kenntnisse erfordert die palliative Schmerztherapie bei Nierenkranken und Dialysepatienten. Nierenpatienten können durchaus auch mit Morphin behandelt werden, wenn die Kumulationskinetik des M6 Glucuronids beachtet wird.
