Abstract
Colorectal liver metastases (CRLM) are the most common indication for liver surgery. Laparoscopic liver resection (LLR) is available as an alternative to the open approach for the treatment of CRLM. Metaanalysis and case reports showed that LLR in selected patients with CRLM by experienced surgeons is safe and feasible. Besides the common advantages of minimal invasive surgery the LLR has equivalent oncological result as the open surgery.
